Thank you for your interest in volunteering for a committee. Any employee of a GMIC member company can volunteer, and joining a committee is a great way to connect with industry peers while helping to advance the glass industry.

Industry Advocacy Committee
Expected Time Commitment
- Four to five one-hour virtual meetings
- One to two hours outside of each meeting to complete workgroup assignments. Slightly more for chairperson.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Interest or knowledge of industry data and resources
- Knowledge or experience in industrial policy development, industry advocacy, trade policy, lobbying, etc.
- Interest or experience in industry or legislative coalition building
Communications Committee
Expected Time Commitment
- Four one-hour virtual meetings
- One to two hours outside of each meeting for committee assignments
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Interest or knowledge of communication and marketing
- Interest or knowledge of best practices in electronic communication
- Interest in industry outreach and relationship building
Education Development Committee
Expected Time Commitment
- Four one-hour virtual meetings
- One to two hours outside of each meeting for committee assignments
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Knowledge or interest in industry education and workforce development
- Knowledge of industry education providers
- Interest in industry outreach and relationship building
Finance Committee
Expected Time Commitment
- Two to four one-hour virtual meetings
- One to two hours outside of each meeting for committee assignments
- Treasurer attendance at annual Board retreat, if available
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Interest or knowledge of budget development and financial planning
Membership Development Committee
Expected Time Commitment
- Two to four one-hour virtual meetings
- One to two hours outside of each meeting for committee assignments
