Creating New Opportunities
To assist our members with the ongoing development of strong, like-minded workforces, GMIC is developing a variety of programs and services geared toward employee recruitment, performance, and retention.
These planned initiatives include workforce tool kits; mentorship, scholarship, and internship programs; and early career development programs. We will also provide glass manufacturers with opportunities to meet student talent in the form of glass school competitions and science fairs. Workforce recognition includes acknowledgement at our annual Glass Problems Conference and a variety of awards programs recognizing outstanding work in all areas of glass production.
The GMIC Career Center gives our members access to nationwide recruitment assistance while also providing jobseekers with a variety of helpful tools including free resume reviews, personalized career coaching, interviewing tips, and job listings exclusive to the Career Center. GMIC members can post and manage job openings, search and manage candidates, maintain a resume bank, and much more.
