GMIC is pleased to announce that the 86th Glass Problems Conference will be held at the Glass City Center in Toledo, Ohio, October 6-8, 2025. The annual GMIC/GlassTrend Symposium will follow on Thursday, October 9. This year’s GPC, also in Toledo, drew more than 500 attendees, far surpassing 2023 attendance.
The conference call for abstracts will be distributed on December 15, and abstract selection will be completed by mid-February. Next year’s education program will take place in a hall adjacent to the exhibits.
Space for exhibits and evening hospitality will go on sale in January. Showcare, the new GPC show manager, will be contacting all previous GPC exhibitors and sponsors in January.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Toledo in October 2025!
GMIC is proud to be part of the Northwest Ohio Innovation Consortium (NOIC) to support our area members and the entire glass industry. Last week, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (pictured in photo by Scott Cooper, CelSian), Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Ohio Department of Development Director, Lydia Mihalik announced that NOIC has received a $31.3M/4-year state grant to develop an Innovation Hub and Center for Glass Excellence in the Toledo area.
The coalition brings together industry — including GMIC members Libbey, O-I, Owens Corning, CelSian — labor, academic, community, and nonprofit partners to advance glass and solar research and workforce development in Ohio and beyond. We look forward to supporting this work on behalf of the industry, and we can’t wait to see the future results!
